This split 7" is a reissue of the long sold out companion cassette originally released as a part of Midwife's debut LP "Like Author, Like Daughter" on Whited Sepulchre Records. Limited to 500 copies.Written and recorded at my home in Mountain Top Pennsylvania in a day inlate December 2016, using guitar, voice, six string bass, piano, an analog synthesizer & drum machine.

For the past decade has documented Planning for Burial's emotionally shaky, but strongly built, journey between noise-laden metal, wall-of-noise shoegaze and world-beaten slowcore.

For some reason the pairing of Sister Grotto & Planning for Burial seemed like a natural fit. Both create objectively heavy music both in theme and substance but use different palates to shade those deep blacks and blues.
